1. About QuickEstimate
QuickEstimate (quickestimate.co.nz) is an independent New Zealand property data company providing free online property estimates. By using our service you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Nature of the estimate
Important: The estimate provided by QuickEstimate is an automated computer-generated market estimate only.
It is NOT a registered valuation under the Valuers Act 1948. It is NOT a formal appraisal under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008. It is NOT a rating valuation under the Rating Valuations Act 1998. It CANNOT be used for mortgage lending, insurance, or legal purposes. It does not account for the individual condition, consents, improvements, or unique features of the property. It is generated using suburb-level council RV data, regional market multipliers, and information provided by the user. For an accurate valuation obtain a registered valuation from a certified valuer or a formal appraisal from a licensed agent who has physically inspected the property.
3. Lead generation consent
By submitting your details and ticking the consent checkbox, you expressly consent to receiving your automated estimate by email, your contact details being shared with one local licensed real estate agent, and being contacted by that agent to offer a free no-obligation in-person property appraisal. You are under no obligation to proceed. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@quickestimate.co.nz.
4. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, QuickEstimate accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the estimate provided. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Fair Trading Act 1986 or the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
5. Accuracy of information
You agree to provide accurate information when submitting your estimate request. QuickEstimate is not responsible for inaccurate estimates resulting from incorrect information provided by the user. We make reasonable efforts to keep our data current but cannot guarantee estimates reflect real-time market conditions.
6. Intellectual property
All content on quickestimate.co.nz including the estimate algorithm, design, copy, and data compilations are the property of QuickEstimate and may not be copied or reproduced without written permission.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to submit false or misleading information, use the platform for any unlawful purpose, attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape our algorithm or data, or use automated tools to submit bulk estimate requests.
8. Privacy
Your use of this platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
